1. Agreement and operator
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to Medvo's website and services (the “Service”). By using the Service, creating an account, or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms and our
Privacy Policy.
2. What Medvo is — and is not
Medvo is a patient communication and advocacy preparation tool. It helps you describe health experiences you report, organize them in clinical language, and draft materials (letters, checklists, follow-up correspondence) to support discussions with licensed healthcare professionals.
Medvo is not a medical device, diagnostic system, telehealth platform, or substitute for professional medical judgment. Medvo does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, emergency services, or clinician–patient care. Outputs are drafts for your review — not instructions to clinicians and not definitive medical conclusions.
For emergencies, call 911 (US) or your local emergency number. Do not use Medvo for urgent or life-threatening symptoms.
3. No clinician–patient relationship
Use of Medvo does not create a physician–patient, therapist–patient, or any fiduciary healthcare relationship between you and Medvo, its operators, or its vendors. Clinicians you communicate with using Medvo materials retain independent professional responsibility for your care.
4. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to open an account. Family yearly plans allow account holders to prepare materials for household members they care for (including minors) via separate profiles. You may not use the Service on behalf of another adult without their authorization. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
5. Your information and responsibilities
You retain ownership of information you submit. You grant Medvo a limited, revocable license to process that information solely to operate the Service (generation, safety screening, storage you request, payment, and support). You represent that information you submit is yours to share and is accurate to the best of your knowledge. You will review and edit all generated materials before sharing them with clinicians or third parties.
6. Acceptable use and advocacy limits
You agree not to:
- Use Medvo to seek or present a diagnosis as established fact;
- Misrepresent generated materials as clinician-authored records;
- Probe, jailbreak, or misuse the system (including automated abuse);
- Submit another person's health information without permission;
- Use the Service unlawfully or to harass clinicians or staff.
Medvo employs technical and policy safeguards so outputs frame conditions as evaluation requests, not conclusions. If a generation fails safety checks, you may rephrase your request and try again.
7. Payments, access, and refunds
Paid features are offered at prices shown at checkout. Payments are processed by
Stripe; we do not store full payment card numbers.
- Single letter: one generation of advocacy materials per purchase, subject to fair-use limits.
- Full access pass: ongoing access to letter generation and follow-up tools as described at purchase.
Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once letter generation has completed successfully. If you believe a charge is erroneous, contact hello@medvo.io within 14 days. Refunds or disputes processed through Stripe may revoke access tied to that payment.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, branding, and underlying software are owned by Medvo or its licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use generated materials you create for your own healthcare advocacy.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUTS WILL ACHIEVE ANY CLINICAL, LEGAL, OR INSURANCE OUTCOME.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MEDVO AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY MEDICAL, LEGAL, OR FINANCIAL OUTCOME ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Medvo against claims arising from your misuse of the Service, your submitted content, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected in a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Purchases record the legal version you accepted at checkout.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your home jurisdiction apply.
