Prepare for a psoriatic arthritis evaluation
Joint pain, swelling (especially in fingers/toes), and skin/nail changes in people with psoriasis are often dismissed as 'just psoriasis' or mechanical arthritis. Medvo helps you describe the full inflammatory pattern and request rheumatology referral and appropriate imaging — framed as evaluation, never diagnosis.
Symptoms patients describe
- · Swollen fingers or toes (dactylitis), morning stiffness lasting hours
- · Pain in joints, spine, and where tendons attach (enthesitis)
- · Psoriasis plaques, nail pitting, and fatigue
Tests & referrals to request
Framed as evaluation — your clinician decides what is appropriate.
- · Referral to rheumatologist experienced in spondyloarthritis
- · X-rays or ultrasound for erosions, enthesitis, or sacroiliitis
- · Discussion of DMARDs, biologics, or other therapies when indicated
If you've been dismissed
- · Skin and joint symptoms treated in isolation for years
- · Told it's 'wear and tear' without inflammatory markers or imaging
