Appointment prep

Prepare for a psoriatic arthritis evaluation

Joint pain, swelling (especially in fingers/toes), and skin/nail changes in people with psoriasis are often dismissed as 'just psoriasis' or mechanical arthritis. Medvo helps you describe the full inflammatory pattern and request rheumatology referral and appropriate imaging — framed as evaluation, never diagnosis.

Symptoms patients describe

  • · Swollen fingers or toes (dactylitis), morning stiffness lasting hours
  • · Pain in joints, spine, and where tendons attach (enthesitis)
  • · Psoriasis plaques, nail pitting, and fatigue

Tests & referrals to request

Framed as evaluation — your clinician decides what is appropriate.

  • · Referral to rheumatologist experienced in spondyloarthritis
  • · X-rays or ultrasound for erosions, enthesitis, or sacroiliitis
  • · Discussion of DMARDs, biologics, or other therapies when indicated

If you've been dismissed

  • · Skin and joint symptoms treated in isolation for years
  • · Told it's 'wear and tear' without inflammatory markers or imaging
