Prepare for a multiple sclerosis evaluation

Episodic neurological symptoms such as numbness, vision changes, fatigue, and cognitive issues are frequently attributed to stress, anxiety, or 'just getting older.' Medvo helps you describe the pattern of symptoms separated in time and space in clinical language and request appropriate MRI and neurology referral — framed as evaluation, never diagnosis.

Symptoms patients describe

  • · Episodic numbness, tingling, or weakness in limbs or face
  • · Vision problems such as blurred or double vision (optic neuritis)
  • · Fatigue that worsens with heat, balance issues, cognitive fog

Tests & referrals to request

Framed as evaluation — your clinician decides what is appropriate.

  • · MRI of brain and cervical spine with and without contrast
  • · Referral to a neurologist experienced in multiple sclerosis
  • · Discussion of lumbar puncture for oligoclonal bands when clinically indicated

If you've been dismissed

  • · Symptoms labeled as anxiety, carpal tunnel, or stress without imaging
  • · No MRI ordered despite clear red-flag neurological events
